A resolution authorizing The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to abandon existing sanitary sewer main, and to accept new sanitary sewer main and a new sanitary sewer manhole, for three properties located at 3701, 3705 and 3707 Gallatin Pike (MWS Project No. 25-SL-37 and Proposal No. 2025M-057ES-001).

WHEREAS, the abandonment of approximately 99 linear feet of existing eight-inch sanitary sewer main (VCP), and the acceptance of approximately 99 linear feet of new eight-inch sanitary sewer main (PVC) and one new sanitary sewer manhole, for three properties located at 3701, 3705, 3707 Gallatin Pike, are needed to construct project number 25-SL-37; and,
WHEREAS, BL2024-345 authorizes the Metropolitan Department of Water and Sewerage Services to approve extensions, additions, improvement, or works by resolution of the Metropolitan Council; and,
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Commission approved mandatory referral No. 2025M-057ES-001 on May 1, 2025, for the abandonment and acceptance of said sanitary sewer mains and sanitary sewer manhole.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is authorized to abandon approximately 99 linear feet of existing eight-inch sanitary sewer main (VCP), and to accept approximately 99 linear feet of new eight-inch sanitary sewer main (PVC) and one new sanitary sewer manhole, three properties located at 3701, 3705, 3707 Gallatin Pike, as shown on Exhibit 1, which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference.

Section 2. The Directors of Water and Sewerage Services and Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the abandonment and acceptance authorized by this resolution.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.

Tennessee Code Annotated § 7-35-406(a)(2) and Ordinance No. BL2024-345 allow the Metropolitan Department of Water and Sewerage Services to approve extensions, additions, or works by resolution of the Metropolitan Council.
