A resolution to amend Ordinance No. BL2022-1222 to authorize The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to modify the linear feet of water and sanitary sewer mains and sanitary sewer manholes to be abandoned and accepted, and to update Map and Parcel information, for now one property located at Chandler Road (unnumbered), also known as Chandler Reserve Phase 4 Rev. 1, (MWS Project Nos. 21-WL-124 and 21-SL-292 and Proposal No. 2022M-045ES-002).

WHEREAS, Ordinance No. BL2022-1222, approved, May 18, 2022, authorized the abandonment of approximately 133 linear feet of existing eight-inch sanitary sewer main (PVC) and easements, and the acceptance of approximately 1,194 linear feet of new-eight inch water main (DIP), approximately 604 linear feet of new eight-inch sanitary sewer main (DIP), approximately 244 linear feet of new eight-inch sanitary sewer main (PVC), three fire hydrant assemblies, nine sanitary sewer manholes and easements, for two properties located at Chandler Road (unnumbered), also known as Chandler Reserve Phase 4; and,
WHEREAS, the abandonment of approximately one linear foot less of existing eight-inch sanitary sewer main, and the acceptance of approximately two linear feet less of new eight-inch water main (DIP), approximately 69 linear feet less of new eight-inch sanitary sewer main (DIP), approximately one additional linear foot of new eight-inch sanitary sewer main (PVC), one additional sanitary sewer manhole and easements, are now needed to construct Project Nos. 21-WL-124 and 21-SL-292; and,
WHEREAS, the property located at Map 076-00 and Parcel 20, also known as Chandler Road (unnumbered), is no longer included in this project; and,
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Commission approved mandatory referral No. 2022M-045ES-002 on February 12, 2025, for revisions to the original mandatory referral; and,
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. BL2022-1222 provides that amendments to the legislation shall be approved by resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That Ordinance No. BL2022-1222 is hereby amended by deleting Section 1 in its entirety and replacing it with the following:
The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is authorized to abandon approximately 132 linear feet of existing eight-inch sanitary sewer main (PVC) and easements, and to accept approximately 1,192 linear feet of new eight-inch water main (DIP), approximately 535 linear feet of new eight inch sanitary sewer main (DIP), approximately 245 linear feet of new eight-inch sanitary sewer main (PVC), three fire hydrant assemblies, 10 sanitary sewer manholes and easements, for property located at Chandler Road (unnumbered), also known as Chandler Reserve Phase 4 Rev. 1, as shown below and on Exhibit 1, which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference:

Section 2. The Directors of Water and Sewerage Services and Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the abandonment and acceptance authorized by this resolution.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect upon passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.

This resolution amends Ordinance No. BL2022-1222, which was approved by the Metropolitan Council on May 17, 2022. The ordinance authorized the abandonment of approximately 133 linear feet of existing eight inch sanitary sewer main (PVC) and easements, and the acceptance of approximately 1,194 linear feet of new eight inch water main (DIP), approximately 604 linear feet of new eight inch sanitary sewer main (DIP), approximately 244 linear feet of new eight inch sanitary sewer main (PVC), three fire hydrant assemblies, nine sanitary sewer manholes and easements, for two properties located at Chandler Road (unnumbered), also known as Chandler Reserve Phase 4.
The proposed resolution authorizes the abandonment of approximately one linear foot less of existing eight-inch sanitary sewer main, and the acceptance of approximately two linear feet less of new eight-inch water main (DIP), approximately 69 linear feet less of new eight-inch sanitary sewer main (DIP), approximately one additional linear foot of new eight-inch sanitary sewer main (PVC), one additional sanitary sewer manhole and easements. One of the previously approved properties at Chandler Road (unnumbered), located at Map 076-00 and Parcel 20, is no longer required for the project.
