An ordinance authorizing The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to abandon existing public sanitary sewer main, sanitary sewer manhole and easement, and to accept new public water and sanitary sewer mains, fire hydrant assembly, sanitary sewer manholes and easements, for two properties located at 847 and 865 West Trinity Lane (MWS Project Nos. 25-WL-29 and 25-SL-96 and Proposal No. 2025M-145ES-001).

WHEREAS, the abandonment of approximately 492 linear feet of existing eight-inch sanitary sewer main, three sanitary sewer manholes and easement, and the acceptance of approximately 231 linear feet of new eight-inch water main (DIP), approximately 492 linear feet of new eight-inch sanitary sewer main (DIP), one fire hydrant assembly, six sanitary sewer manholes and easements, for two properties located at 847 and 865 West Trinity Lane, are needed to construct project numbers 25-WL-29 and 25-SL-96; and,
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Commission approved mandatory referral No. 2025M-145ES-001 on September 9, 2025, for the abandonment and acceptance of said water and sanitary sewer mains, fire hydrant assembly, sanitary sewer manholes and easements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is authorized to abandon approximately 492 linear feet of existing eight-inch sanitary sewer main, three sanitary sewer manholes and easement, and to accept of approximately 231 linear feet of new eight-inch water main (DIP), approximately 492 linear feet of new eight-inch sanitary sewer main (DIP), one fire hydrant assembly, six sanitary sewer manholes and easements, for two properties located at 847 and 865 West Trinity Lane, as shown on Exhibit 1, which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference.

Section 2. The Directors of Water and Sewerage Services and Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the abandonment and acceptance authorized by this ordinance.
Section 3. Amendments to this legislation shall be approved by resolution.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
