WHEREAS, the online services through the Desk Officer Reporting System (“DORS”) and eCommerce services will provide a citizen reporting system that enables individuals to file and report incidents involving automobile collisions to law enforcement, and web-based portal(s) that distribute reports to authorized requestors; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this enrollment form be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1.                     That the agreement between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department (“MNPD”), and LexisNexis Coplogic Solutions Inc. for the online reporting services, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department is authorized to enter into the agreement.

Section 2.                     That this ordinance shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.

This ordinance approves an agreement between the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department (MNPD) and LexisNexis Coplogic Solutions Inc. (LexisNexis) for online reporting services. Pursuant to the agreement, LexisNexis would provide Desk Officer Reporting System (DORS) Crash and eCommerce services to MNPD for the management of information and reporting related to vehicle accidents, citations, and incidents occurring within MNPD’s jurisdiction. These services provide a citizen reporting system that enables individuals to file and report incidents involving automobile collisions to law enforcement, and web-based portals that distribute reports to authorized requestors.

 

The term of the agreement will commence upon approval of the Council and continue for 60 months, or until the agreement is terminated by either party.

 

Fiscal Note: There is no cost to Metro for this agreement.
