An ordinance authorizing The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to abandon existing water mains and easements, to relocate a fire hydrant assembly, and to accept new water main, fire hydrant assemblies, and easements, for three properties located at 2500, 2504 and 2508 Bransford Avenue, also known as Broadstone Berry Hill (MWS Project No. 22-WL-21 and Proposal No. 2022M-097ES-001).

WHEREAS, the abandonment of approximately 667 linear feet of existing six inch water main, approximately 380 linear feet of existing eight inch water main and easements, the relocation of one fire hydrant assembly, and the acceptance of approximately 350 linear feet of new eight inch water main (DIP), two fire hydrant assemblies and easements, for three properties located at 2500, 2504 and 2508 Bransford Avenue, also known as Broadstone Berry Hill, are needed to construct project number 22-WL-21; and,
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Commission approved mandatory referral No. 2022M-097ES-001 on July 12, 2022, for the abandonment, relocation, and acceptance of said water mains, fire hydrant assemblies and easements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is authorized to abandon approximately 667 linear feet of existing six inch water main, approximately 380 linear feet of existing eight inch water main and easements, to relocate one fire hydrant assembly, and to accept approximately 350 linear feet of new eight inch water main (DIP), two fire hydrant assemblies and easements, for three properties located at 2500, 2504 and 2508 Bransford Avenue, also known as Broadstone Berry Hill, as shown on Exhibit 1, which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference.

Section 2. The Directors of Water and Sewerage Services and Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the abandonment, relocation and acceptance authorized by this ordinance.
Section 3. Amendments to this legislation shall be approved by resolution.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
