WHEREAS, the abandonment of approximately 81 linear feet of existing eight-inch sanitary sewer mains (PVC) and two sanitary sewer manholes, and the acceptance of approximately 834 linear feet of new eight-inch water main (DIP), approximately 197 linear feet of new eight-inch sanitary sewer mains (PVC), approximately 78 linear feet of new eight-inch sanitary sewer mains (DIP), one fire hydrant assembly and five sanitary sewer manholes, for two properties located at 3414 and 3416 Park Drive, also known as Clarendale West End, are needed to construct project numbers 22-WL-88 and 22-SL-177; and,

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Commission approved mandatory referral No. 2023M-193ES-001 on December 12, 2023, for the abandonment and acceptance of said water and sanitary sewer mains, fire hydrant assembly and sanitary sewer manholes.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1.                     The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is authorized to abandon approximately 81 linear feet of existing eight-inch sanitary sewer mains (PVC) and two sanitary sewer manholes, and to accept approximately 834 linear feet of new eight-inch water main (DIP), approximately 197 linear feet of new eight-inch sanitary sewer mains (PVC), approximately 78 linear feet of new eight-inch sanitary sewer mains (DIP), one fire hydrant assembly and five sanitary sewer manholes, for two properties located at 3414 and 3416 Park Drive, also known as Clarendale West End, as shown on Exhibit 1, which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference.

Section 2.                     The Directors of Water and Sewerage Services and Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the abandonment and acceptance authorized by this ordinance.

Section 3.                     Amendments to this legislation shall be approved by resolution.

Section 4.                     This ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.

This ordinance has been approved by the Planning Commission. Future amendments to this ordinance may be approved by resolution.

 

Fiscal Note: This ordinance has no cost to Metro. Abandoned and donated easements have no market value according to the Department of Water Services.
