WHEREAS, the acceptance of approximately 1,115 linear feet of new eight-inch water main (DIP), approximately 143 linear feet of new four-inch water main (DIP), approximately 626 linear feet of new eight-inch sanitary sewer main (PVC), approximately 201 linear feet of new eight-inch sanitary sewer main (DIP), two fire hydrant assemblies, ten sanitary sewer manholes and easements, for property located at 665 Vernon Avenue, also known as The Woods II - Mulch Company, is needed to construct project numbers 22-WL-136 and 22-SL-138; and

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Commission approved mandatory referral No. 2023M-177ES-001 on November 8, 2023, for the acceptance of said water and sanitary sewer mains, fire hydrant assemblies, sanitary sewer manholes and easements.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1.                     The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is authorized to accept approximately 1,115 linear feet of new eight-inch water main (DIP), approximately 143 linear feet of new four-inch water main (DIP), approximately 626 linear feet of new eight-inch sanitary sewer main (PVC), approximately 201 linear feet of new eight-inch sanitary sewer main (DIP), two fire hydrant assemblies, ten sanitary sewer manholes and easements, for property located at 665 Vernon Avenue, also known as The Woods II - Mulch Company, as shown on Exhibit 1, which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference.

Section 2.                     The Directors of Water and Sewerage Services and Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the acceptance authorized by this ordinance.

Section 3.                     Amendments to this legislation shall be approved by resolution.

Section 4.                     This ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.

This ordinance has been approved by the Planning Commission. Future amendments to this ordinance may be approved by resolution.

 

Fiscal Note: This ordinance has no cost to Metro. Donated easements have no market value according to the Department of Water Services.
