WHEREAS, Section 5.04.020 of the Metropolitan Code provides that all leases of equipment shall be approved by resolution of the Metropolitan Council if the annual expenditure for the lease exceeds five thousand dollars ($5,000); and,
WHEREAS, the annual expenditure to lease golf carts for use by the Department of Parks and Recreation, pursuant to the attached contract with Saylors Golf Carts, Inc. will exceed five thousand dollars ($5,000); and,
WHEREAS, golf cart rentals and associated maintenance are necessary for golf courses within the Department of Parks and Recreation; and,
WHEREAS, it is in the interest of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this contract be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That the Contract between the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and Saylors Golf Carts, Inc. for the provision of golf cart rentals and associated maintenance is hereby approved.
Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.

This resolution approves a contract between the Department of Parks and Recreation and Saylors Golf Carts, Inc., for the provision and maintenance of golf cart rentals.
Section 5.04.020 of the Metro Code of Laws requires that all leases of equipment be approved by resolution of the Council if the annual expenditure of the lease exceeds $5,000.
The term of the contract is 60 months, beginning no earlier than April 17, 2024, or upon approval of all parties and filing with the Metropolitan Clerk’s Office. The estimated value of the contract is $3,000,000. A detailed scope of services is attached to the agreement as Exhibit B.
Fiscal Note: The estimated value of this lease contract number 6562366 with Saylors Golf Carts, Inc. for golf carts rental and maintenance is $3,000,000 to be paid from Fund 30802, Business Unit 40700900. However, actual expenses may be paid from various department’s fund and business unit when purchase orders are issued.
