A resolution authorizing The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to accept new public water and sanitary sewer mains and sanitary sewer manholes, for five properties located on Inverness Avenue, also known as 602 C Inverness Avenue (MWS Project Nos. 26-WL-05 and 26-SL-100 and Proposal No. 2026M-050ES-001).

WHEREAS, the acceptance of approximately 143 linear feet of new eight-inch water main (DIP), approximately 178 linear feet of new eight-inch sanitary sewer main (PVC) and two sanitary sewer manholes, for five properties located on Inverness Avenue, also known as 602 C Inverness Avenue, is needed to construct project numbers 26-WL-05 and 26-SL-100; and,
WHEREAS, BL2024-345 authorizes the Metropolitan Department of Water and Sewerage Services to approve extensions, additions, improvement, or works by resolution of the Metropolitan Council; and,
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Commission approved mandatory referral No. 2026M-050ES-001 on June 23, 2026, for the acceptance of said water and sanitary sewer mains and sanitary sewer manholes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is authorized to accept approximately 143 linear feet of new eight-inch water main (DIP), approximately 178 linear feet of new eight-inch sanitary sewer main (PVC) and two sanitary sewer manholes, for five properties located on Inverness Avenue, also known as 602 C Inverness Avenue, as shown on Exhibits 1 and 2, which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference.
Section 2. The Directors of Water and Sewerage Services and Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the acceptance authorized by this resolution.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.

Tennessee Code Annotated § 7-35-406(A)(2) and Ordinance No. BL2024-345 allow the Metropolitan Department of Water and Sewerage Services to approve extension, additions, or works by resolution of the Metropolitan Council.
