A resolution accepting an in-kind grant from the Nashville Police + Public Safety Alliance to the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, to fund MNPD personnel to access digital resources to connect with a network of individual and corporate care providers and access online content.

WHEREAS, the Nashville Police + Public Safety Alliance has awarded an in-kind grant, with an estimated value not to exceed $45,000.00 with no cash match required, to the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, to fund MNPD personnel to access digital resources to connect with a network of individual and corporate care providers and access online content, a copy of which in-kind grant is attached hereto; and;

WHEREAS, the underlying agreement with Care.com has been submitted to Council via ordinance No. BL2026-1205, to be considered in conjunction with the current resolution approving the payment structure for the agreement; and   

WHEREAS it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this in-kind grant be accepted.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1.                     That the in-kind grant by and between the Nashville Police + Public Safety Alliance, with an estimated total value not to exceed $45,000.00, to the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, to fund MNPD personnel to access digital resources to connect with a network of individual and corporate care providers and access online content, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.

Section 2.                     That this in-kind grant package be appropriated to the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department based on the revenues estimated to be received and any match to be applied.

Section 3.                     That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.

This resolution accepts an in-kind grant from the Nashville Police + Public Safety Alliance to Metropolitan Nashville Police Department (“MNPD”) to fund MNPD personnel to access digital resources to connect with a network of individual and corporate care providers and access online content

 

The funding from this grant will go directly to Care.com for performance of the master service agreement considered by the Metropolitan Council in Ordinance No. BL2026-1205. Under the master service agreement as described in BL2026-1205, eligible individuals will be able to utilize Care.com childcare, senior care, pet care, discounts with care vendors, telephone specialists, tutoring, college admissions resources, and a care spending account.

 

The estimated value of the in-kind grant would not exceed $45,000. The term of the grant is from March 1, 2026, until February 28, 2027.
