A resolution authorizing The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to abandon existing public water main, and to accept new public water main, for two properties located at 460 James Robertson Parkway and 300 Gay Street, also known as 450-460 James Robertson Parkway Water Main Realignment (MWS Project No. 26-WL-102, and Proposal No. 2026M-060ES-001).

WHEREAS, the abandonment of approximately 28 linear feet of existing eight-inch water main (CIP), and the acceptance of approximately 28 linear feet of new eight-inch water main (DIP), for two properties located at 460 James Robertson Parkway and 300 Gay Street, also known as 450-460 James Robertson Parkway Water Main Realignment, are needed to construct project number 26-WL-102; and,
WHEREAS, BL2024-345 authorizes the Metropolitan Department of Water and Sewerage Services to approve extensions, additions, improvement, or works by resolution of the Metropolitan Council; and,
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Commission approved mandatory referral No. 2026M-060ES-001 on July 23, 2026, for the abandonment and acceptance of said water mains.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is authorized to abandon approximately 28 linear feet of existing eight-inch water main (CIP), and to accept approximately 28 linear feet of new eight-inch water main (DIP), for two properties located at 460 James Robertson Parkway and 300 Gay Street, also known as 450-460 James Robertson Parkway Water Main Realignment, as shown on Exhibit 1, which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference.

Section 2. The Directors of Water and Sewerage Services and Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the abandonment and acceptance authorized by this resolution.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
