A resolution authorizing The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to abandon an existing public fire hydrant assembly, and to accept a new public fire hydrant assembly, for two properties located at 490 and 520 Metroplex Drive, also known as Aventura Community School, (MWS Project No. 25-WL-58 and Proposal No. 2025M-112ES-001).

WHEREAS, the abandonment of one existing fire hydrant assembly, and the acceptance of one new fire hydrant assembly, for two properties located at 490 and 520 Metroplex Drive, also known as Aventura Community School, are needed to construct project number 25-WL-58; and,
WHEREAS, BL2024-345 authorizes the Metropolitan Department of Water and Sewerage Services to approve extensions, additions, improvement, or works by resolution of the Metropolitan Council; and,
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Commission approved mandatory referral No. 2025M-112ES-001 on July 11, 2025, for the abandonment and acceptance of said fire hydrant assemblies.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is authorized to abandon one existing fire hydrant assembly, and to accept one new fire hydrant assembly, for two properties located at 490 and 520 Metroplex Drive, also known as Aventura Community School, as shown on Exhibit 1, which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference.

Section 2. The Directors of Water and Sewerage Services and Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the abandonment and acceptance authorized by this resolution.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.

Tennessee Code Annotated section 7-35-406(a)(2) and Ordinance No. BL2024-345 allow the Metropolitan Department of Water and Sewerage Services to approve extensions, additions, or works by resolution of the Metropolitan Council.
