An ordinance authorizing The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to abandon existing public water main and easements, and to accept new public water main, fire hydrant assembly and easements, for two properties located at 12610 Old Hickory Boulevard and Old Hickory Boulevard (unnumbered), also known as 12610 Business Park, (MWS Project No. 24-WL-76 and Proposal No. 2025M-143ES-001).

WHEREAS, the abandonment of approximately 216 linear feet of existing six-inch water main (DIP) and easements, and the acceptance of approximately 267 linear feet of new six-inch water main (DIP), one fire hydrant assembly and easements, for two properties located at 12610 Old Hickory Boulevard and Old Hickory Boulevard (unnumbered), also known as 12610 Business Park, are needed to construct project number 24-WL-76; and,
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Commission approved mandatory referral No. 2025M-143ES-001 on September 9, 2025, for the abandonment and acceptance of said water mains, fire hydrant assembly and easements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is authorized to abandon approximately 216 linear feet of existing six-inch water main (DIP) and easements, and to accept approximately 267 linear feet of new six-inch water main (DIP), one fire hydrant assembly and easements, for two properties located at 12610 Old Hickory Boulevard and Old Hickory Boulevard (unnumbered), also known as 12610 Business Park, as shown on Exhibit 1, which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference:

Section 2. The Directors of Water and Sewerage Services and Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the abandonment and acceptance authorized by this ordinance.
Section 3. Amendments to this legislation shall be approved by resolution.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
