An ordinance authorizing The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to abandon existing public sanitary sewer main, sanitary sewer manhole and easements, and to accept the vertical relocation of existing water main, new public sanitary sewer main, sanitary sewer manholes and easements, for property located at 825 Gale Lane, also known as Gale Lane Residential (MWS Project Nos. 25-WL-94 and 25-SL-230 and Proposal No. 2026M-036ES-001).

WHEREAS, the abandonment of approximately 387 linear feet of existing eight-inch sanitary sewer main, one sanitary sewer manhole and easements, and the acceptance of the vertical relocation of approximately 30 linear feet of existing eight-inch water main (DIP), approximately 428 linear feet of new eight-inch sanitary sewer main (PVC), four new sanitary sewer manholes and easements, for property located at 825 Gale Lane, also known as Gale Lane Residential, are needed to construct project numbers 25-WL-94 and 25-SL-230; and,
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Commission approved mandatory referral No. 2026M-036ES-001 on May 29, 2026, the abandonment and acceptance of said water and sanitary sewer mains, sanitary sewer manholes and easements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is authorized to abandon approximately 387 linear feet of eight-inch sanitary sewer main, one sanitary sewer manhole and easements, and to accept the vertical relocation of approximately 30 linear feet of existing eight-inch water main (DIP), approximately 428 linear feet of new eight-inch sanitary sewer main (PVC), four new sanitary sewer manholes and easements, for property located at 825 Gale Lane, also known as Gale Lane Residential, as shown on Exhibit 1, which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference.

Section 2. The Directors of Water and Sewerage Services and Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the relocation, abandonment and acceptance authorized by this ordinance.
Section 3. Amendments to this legislation shall be approved by resolution.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
