WHEREAS, the abandonment of approximately 102 linear feet of existing eight-inch water main (DIP), and the acceptance of approximately 102 linear feet of new eight-inch water main (DIP), the relocation of one fire hydrant assembly and the vertical relocation of one sanitary sewer manhole, for property located at 2244 Hobson Pike, also known as Resurrected Life Chapel, are needed to construct project numbers 25-WL-90 and 25-SL-229; and,

WHEREAS, BL2024-345 authorizes the Metropolitan Department of Water and Sewerage Services to approve extensions, additions, improvement, or works by resolution of the Metropolitan Council; and,

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Commission approved mandatory referral No. 2026M-013ES-001 on March 3, 2026, for the abandonment and acceptance of said water mains, fire hydrant assembly and sanitary sewer manhole.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1.                     The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is authorized to abandon approximately 102 linear feet of existing eight-inch water main (DIP), and to accept approximately 102 linear feet of new eight-inch water main (DIP), the relocation of one fire hydrant assembly and the vertical relocation of one sanitary sewer manhole, for property located at 2244 Hobson Pike, also known as Resurrected Life Chapel, as shown on Exhibit 1, which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference.

Section 2.                     The Directors of Water and Sewerage Services and Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the abandonment and acceptance authorized by this resolution.

Section 3.                     This resolution shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.

This resolution abandons approximately 102 linear feet of existing eight-inch water main (DIP) and accepts approximately 102 linear feet of new eight-inch water main (DIP), relocates one fire hydrant assembly, and relocates one sanitary sewer manhole vertically for property located at 2244 Hobson Pike, also known as Resurrected Life Chapel.

 

Tennessee Code Annotated section 7-35-406(a)(2) and Ordinance No. BL2024-345 allow the Metropolitan Department of Water and Sewerage Services to approve extension, additions, or works by resolution of the Metropolitan Council.

 

This proposal has been approved by the Planning Commission.
