A resolution authorizing The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to abandon existing public sanitary sewer main and sanitary sewer manholes, and to accept new public sanitary sewer mains and sanitary sewer manholes, for four properties located on Bellshire Drive and Dickerson Pike, offsite of the project location at 3539 Dickerson Pike, also known as Artist Lofts Offsite, (MWS Project No. 25-SL-60 and Proposal No. 2025M-115ES-001).

WHEREAS, the abandonment approximately 2,493 linear feet of existing 10-inch sanitary sewer main (PVC) and nine sanitary sewer manholes, and the acceptance of approximately 678 linear feet of new 15-inch sanitary sewer main (PVC), approximately 1,815 linear feet of new 15-inch sanitary sewer main (DIP) and nine sanitary sewer manholes, for four properties located on Bellshire Drive and Dickerson Pike, offsite of the project location at 3539 Dickerson Pike, also known as Artist Lofts Offsite, are needed to construct project number 25-SL-60; and,
WHEREAS, BL2024-345 authorizes the Metropolitan Department of Water and Sewerage Services to approve extensions, additions, improvement, or works by resolution of the Metropolitan Council; and,
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Commission approved mandatory referral No. 2025M-115ES-001 on July 11, 2025, for the abandonment and acceptance of said sanitary sewer mains and sanitary sewer manholes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is authorized to abandon approximately 2,493 linear feet of existing 10-inch sanitary sewer main (PVC) and nine sanitary sewer manholes, and to accept approximately 678 linear feet of new 15-inch sanitary sewer main (PVC), approximately 1,815 linear feet of new 15-inch sanitary sewer main (DIP) and nine sanitary sewer manholes, for four properties located on Bellshire Drive and Dickerson Pike, offsite of the project location at 3539 Dickerson Pike, also known as Artist Lofts Offsite, as shown on Exhibit 1, which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference.

Section 2. The Directors of Water and Sewerage Services and Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the abandonment and acceptance authorized by this resolution.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.

Tennessee Code Annotated section 7-35-406(a)(2) and Ordinance No. BL2024-345 allow the Metropolitan Department of Water and Sewerage Services to approve extensions, additions, or works by resolution of the Metropolitan Council.
This proposal has been approved by the Planning Commission.
