A resolution authorizing The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to accept new public sanitary sewer mains and sanitary sewer manholes, for four properties located on Holt Hills Road and Christiansted Lane, also known as Holt Hills Public Sewer Extension, (MWS Project No. 24-SL-149 and Proposal No. 2025M-199ES-001).

WHEREAS, the acceptance of approximately 401 linear feet of new eight-inch sanitary sewer main (PVC), approximately 90 linear feet of new eight-inch sanitary sewer main (DIP) and three sanitary sewer manholes, for four properties located on Holt Hills Road and Christiansted Lane, also known as Holt Hills Public Sewer Extension, is needed to construct project number 24-SL-149; and,
WHEREAS, BL2024-345 authorizes the Metropolitan Department of Water and Sewerage Services to approve extensions, additions, improvement, or works by resolution of the Metropolitan Council; and,
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Commission approved with conditions mandatory referral No. 2025M-199ES-001 on February 5, 2026, for the acceptance of said sanitary sewer mains and sanitary sewer manholes; and,
WHEREAS, NES’s condition that all work must maintain clearances with any utility poles to prevent undermining the integrity of the base of the poles, will be met as this is standard practice.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is authorized to accept approximately 401 linear feet of new eight-inch sanitary sewer main (PVC), approximately 90 linear feet of new eight-inch sanitary sewer main (DIP) and three sanitary sewer manholes, for four properties located on Holt Hills Road and Christiansted Lane, also known as Holt Hills Public Sewer Extension, as shown on Exhibit 1, which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference.

Section 2. The Directors of Water and Sewerage Services and Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the acceptance authorized by this resolution.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.

Tennessee Code Annotated section 7-35-406(a)(2) and Ordinance No. BL2024-345 allow the Metropolitan Department of Water and Sewerage Services to approve extension, additions, or works by resolution of the Metropolitan Council.
