WHEREAS, RS2017-942 approved a grant agreement between the Tennessee Department of Transportation (“TDOT”), and the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, through the Department of Public Works (“Metro”), for the Nashville Complete Trips Transportation Demand Management Program; and,

WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend the agreement to extend the term of the project to May 31, 2022; and,

WHERAS, it is in the best interest of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that the term be extended.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section I.                      That amendment one to the grant agreement, attached hereto as Exhibit 1, and incorporated herein, between the state of Tennessee, Tennessee Department of Transportation, and the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, through the Department of Public Works, for the Nashville Complete Trips Transportation Demand Management Program, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2.                      That this resolution shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.

This resolution approves amendment one to a grant agreement between the Tennessee Department of Transportation and the Metro Department of Public Works to extend the term of the Nashville Complete Trips Transportation Demand Management Program. This program seeks to reduce congestion and contribute to the exceedance of air quality standards by supporting and promoting the use of transportation options other than single occupancy vehicles. This amendment extends the end date from November 21, 2021 to May 31, 2022. No other terms of the agreement would be amended.
