A resolution to amend Ordinance No. BL2025-975 to authorize The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to add phasing, to correct the project number, and to modify the abandonment and acceptance of public water main, fire hydrant assemblies and easements, for two properties located at 1 Titans Way and 100 Woodland Street, also known as South 2nd Street Development Phase 1 (MWS Project No. 25-WL-26 and Proposal No. 2025M-103ES-002).

WHEREAS, Ordinance No. BL2025-975, approved September 3, 2025, authorized the abandonment of approximately 710 linear feet of existing 12-inch water main, one fire hydrant assembly and easements, and the acceptance of approximately 2,237 linear feet of new 12-inch water main (DIP), four fire hydrant assemblies and easements, for two properties located at 1 Titans Way and 100 Woodland Street, also known as South 2nd Street development; and,
WHEREAS, the correct Project No is 25-WL-26, which now refers to South 2nd Street Development Phase 1; and,
WHEREAS, the previously approved abandonment of approximately 710 linear feet of existing 12-inch water main, one fire hydrant assembly and easements and acceptance of approximately 1,339 linear feet of new 12-inch water main (DIP), three fire hydrant assemblies and easements, for two properties located at 1 Titans Way and 100 Woodland Street, also known as South 2nd Street development, are no longer needed to construct Project No. 25-WL-26; and,
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Commission approved mandatory referral No. 2025M-103ES-002 on September 18, 2025, for revisions to the previous mandatory referrals; and,
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. BL2025-975 provides that amendments to the legislation shall be approved by resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That Ordinance No. BL2025-975 is hereby amended by deleting Section 1 in its entirety and replacing it with the following:
The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is authorized to accept approximately 898 linear feet of new 12-inch water main (DIP), one fire hydrant assembly and easements, for two properties located at 1 Titans Way and 100 Woodland Street, also known as South 2nd Street Development Phase 1, as shown on Exhibit 1, which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference.

Section 2. The Directors of Water and Sewerage Services and Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the acceptance authorized by this resolution.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.

The ordinance authorized the abandonment of approximately 710 linear feet of existing 12-inch water main, one fire hydrant assembly and easements, and the acceptance of approximately 2,237 linear feet of new 12-inch water main (DIP), four fire hydrant assemblies and easements, for two properties located at 1 Titans Way and 100 Woodland Street, also known as South 2nd Street development. Ordinance No. BL2025-975 provides that amendments to the legislation shall be approved by resolution.
The proposed resolution would amend Ordinance No. BL2025-975 by removing the abandonment of 710 linear feet of existing 12-inch water main, one fire hydrant assembly and easements. The resolution would also correct the project number and include additional phrasing in the ordinance.
These changes have been approved by the Planning Commission.
